Calcareous tubeworm

Serpula vermicularis

Description:

This worm lives in a calcareous tube. It has red and white plumes and normally the tube is white however, these seem to be covered in algae.

Habitat:

Rocky shores and intertidal areas from Alaska to Baja California.
