In my comment below, I meant the gecko got into my place through the main door, not the bathroom door.

Bayucca, ok. The link worked that time. Thanks. I haven't taken pics of them yet but here's the story on another bug. A couple of nights ago in my bathroom, I found a couple of dozen of small bugs crawling around on the floor. Don't know how they got there but through the drain is the only way I can think of. I did not bother them. I don't kill any bugs, except mosquitoes and roaches, so I just let these unknown bugs crawl around. In about 30 minutes however, they all started dying. In an hour or so they were all dead, every last one of them. I suspect they were termites, ready to breed. I collected several dead ones to take pics of later. Later that night I saw a Gecko in my bathroom. He probably got inside through the door since I leave it open during really hot periods during the day. So the next morning when I got up, all the dead bugs were gone. I think the Gecko had a great meal the night before.

It certainly is, Joe! Even if it was dead, missing some parts, bleached out colors I am happy to have found an ID, but it was a little bit tricky, since it was the female and you mostly see the males. Butterfly houses are usually tricky because you never know where this guy is actually native from...
So, I certainly would never kill a butterfly to take a picture or for ID!

Thanks for your ID, Bayucca. Your comment I take it about dead butterflies is tongue-in-cheek? Joe
