Russula nobilis

Description:

Small red mushrooms with white stems. Some with white spots. The color was bright but the cap was not glossy. The spots were not raised. The gills were white.

Habitat:

Ozark forest. Both deciduous and coniferous forest.

Notes:

I'm thinking Russula but need help with this little guy. I'm sorry I didn't get a better description but new to fungal features!

I think you are right with Russula. Unfortunately you would need to see the gill structure and root structure for further ID.
