Brazilian Tanager

Ramphocelus bresilius

Description:

Beautiful blood-red bird. Quite small, it loved perching on the hibiscus bush.

Habitat:

Brazilian atlantic forest

Notes:

Apparently the locals capture these birds and sell them for a large ammount. Word on the street was that they can go for almost $1000. Thankfully the owners of this property are quick to chase poachers off the land.
