Eastern Bearded Dragon

Pogona barbata

Notes:

We have just taken this rather large bearded dragon (named Titan) into care. He was found in Woodfordia with an injured left eye and four broken ribs - he's been in hospital for a month and has now come to us for some 'cage rest'. However, he's spent the afternoon climbing up the glass of his tank and peering out... not very restful!! He seems to be a good-natured specimen, and he's very very beautiful. This is the first eastern bearded dragon we've ever had in care, so I'm pretty stoked to have him as a guest.

Thanks Argy. For an animal that's really been through the wars he looks very good indeed, and I think his ribs mustn't be causing him too much pain. Bearded dragons are pretty easy to look after, but we have to assess Titan's ability to feed on his own - since he's been in care his feeding has all been assisted and the vet is not sure whether he can see out of his left eye to spot live food.

That's a great shot with the reflection. He looks good. Fortunately they're fairly easy to keep when healthy?
