Bald Tussock Moth

Nygmia fumosa

Description:

A female Nygmia fumosa (confirmed by Roger Kendrick), looks very similar to N. semifumosa. These type of moths are always seen with a bald patch on their thorax. Dark rusty brown in color. A black dot on each of it's wings. Medium-sized.

Habitat:

Kundasang forests, Sabah, Malaysia.
