Thanks so much, Aaron. Gave us quit a scare when we looked out the back door to see grand-niece & snake within 5 feet of each other.

Hi, Earl. This is one of the non-venomous watersnakes in the genus Nerodia. Hopefully someone from your area will be able to take the ID further. Also, I've moved this one over to the Reptiles category for you. :-)
