Last bit. Plucky is fine and was not with him during the incident. He was in fact helping a friend find a lost dog when this happened to him!

For our readers who have inquired: "Plucky" is the name of the German Shepherd left behind by the dearly departed US expat Matthew Kritzer in ‪#‎CostaRica‬. Plucky is also the name of Mr. Krtizer's nature photography label, which you can view on his Facebook Timeline. As you can glean from this photo, he was an excellent photographer
Check on the Costa Rica times for info.

Lauren Z,not much out here compared to what you have! The thick vegetation and the elusiveness of the creatures makes it difficult to spot stuff. I am learning though! This circle of 5 mile radius is a little different than it's surrounding neighbors.

I have been puzzling about that to. I did read that somewhere on line. He was in a car with his 57 yr old friend and the driver lost control and plunged down a cliff,100 ft below. Matt passed away but the driver is recovered. They tested the driver for alcohol levels but the driver was not under the influence.
We can say for sure that Matt's life was well lived!Short and sweet and meanigful to the very last minute. RIP!

Adorable little guy. When I see your pictures, I can't believe how much I missed growing up. By the way, did Matt's dog also die in the car accident? A double tragedy?

I love jumping spiders. This seems to be common out here.
