Moss

Description:

A bright green moss growing on a dead log. It was dry and hard, but unbelievably, still green. I put a small piece in water and it soon became softer and a darker green. All moss I´ve seen before turns brown when dried out during the dry season.

Habitat:

Forest trail near Puerta Calakmul, Calakmul Biosphere Reserve. Dry Season.
