This fungus change the behavior of the ants, controlling its brain and making the ants to climb the top of the plants for a better spores dispersion once the ant die. This is the second infected ant I found on the same day. Here is thte first one http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/148...

Hi Garrison. This ant is infected with Cordycep fungi, it change the insect natural behavior and finally kill the insect.
Infected with what? What is that thing in its head?
