Carabus nemoralis
A large, 2,5 cm, purple bronze ground beetle with reddish pronotal edges. It uses the large curved mandibles to crush and slice through prey, slugs are the favorite.
Forest edge under dead wood and leaves.
Norwegian name: Vanlig jordløper
