Orange with black lines on wings, underside more pale

Habitat:

Found this larve on a Hawaiian milkweed in Kailua, Oahu Island, Hawaii

Notes:

Watched the wonderful even through all 4 stages, larva (5 instars or changes) chrysalis (or pupa) and emerging (ecloses). Our grandchildren were very interested and asked some difficult question. We all learned together!
