Description:

Long-horned beetles with distinctive markings. The first pic is of a mating pair. The male is much smaller and has longer antennae. Males will try to perch themselves on top of a flowering plant and wait for a female to arrive. Pic 3 shows a male waiting for a female but butterflies are showing up instead.

Habitat:

Spotted on a flowering shrub at the Falcon Lake State Park in Starr County, Texas.
