Description:

Pieris brassicae, the large white, is a butterfly in the family Pieridae. The large white is common throughout Europe, North Africa and Asia. The pictured butterfly was spotted while she was foraging on a limonium sinuatum flower plant, in coastal Skyros island, Greece.
