Description:

Open, bushy, much branched plant3-6 ft tall that tends to grow in colonies.

Habitat:

Growing up to three feet tall in full sun, and reaching twice that in partial shade, its colonies of bright yellow-orange, daisy-like flowers light up the fall. Equally at home in prairie or pasture, woodland edge or forest opening, this extremely drought-tolerant flower thrives in poor soil, calcareous or limestone, sand, clay or loam.
