@ the video; I had never seen behavior like that in a heron. At first I thought he was shading the sun to see the fish, but that wasn't the case. Then I thought he might have seen the mockingbirds do that to scare up bugs, but I still don't know just why he was doing that. It was pretty cool to see, though!
