No problem! Glad you let him go. Boxies can make good pets, but they're declining over much of their range, partially due to the pet trade, so it's best to go captive-bred or rescue if you do decide that you want a box turtle!

Thanks, I was thinking it was a baby box because I couldn't think of any other land turtles that would be there.

Of course he was reluctantly released...

Very cute juvenile turtle of some sort. I am not sure of the species but here is a link that might help you with an ID:
