Scarlet Plant Bug

Lopidea marginata

Description:

Mating red, gray and black plant bugs with red eyes. Their wings are light gray with a red corium. Their pronotum and scutella are light red. The membrane is a copper. Legs and antenna are dark gray. They were just over 5 mm long each.

Habitat:

Penstemon plant in chaparral.
