Habitat:

Desconhecido. Encontrada em habitat urbano no 16º andar de um prédio, mas sei que também podem ser encontradas em habitats suburbanos.

Unknown. Found in an urban habitat on the 16th floor of a flat during night, but I do know that they can also be found in suburban habitats.

Dycladia é um gênero de mariposas da ordem Lepidoptera, subdivisão Bombycina, superfamília Noctuoidea, família Erebidae, subfamília Arctiinae e tribo Arctiini que mimetizam os besouros rendados da família Lycidae e alguns Hymenópteros. Esse curioso e evoluído mecanismo de defesa é utilizado para evitarem predadores; o provável motivo é atribuído ao mal gosto de besouros Lycídeos, que predadores tendem a evitar e, no caso das que mimetizam Hymenópteros (particularmente da subordem Symphyta), atribuído à suas naturezas potencialmente perigosas. Lagartas Arctiíneas geralmente se alimentam de uma grande variedade de graminhas, arbustos, ervas e plantas em geral, sendo polifitófagas, mas desconheço a alimentação dos adultos e das larvas de Dycladia. Espécies dos gêneros Correbia e Correbidia também mimetizam besouros Lycídeos, particularmente Colobothea. Mais informações serão apreciadas, pois há pouca informação sobre esse gênero na Internet. No começo, achei que fosse uma Dycladia lucetius mas mudei de opinião.

Dycladia is a genus of moths in the order Lepidoptera, subdivision Bombycina, superfamily Noctuoidea, family Erebidae, subfamily Arctiinae and tribe Arctiini that mimic net-winged beetles of the family Lycidae and some Hymenopterans. This curious characteristic is an evolved defensive mechanism to ward off predators; the reason to this is most likely attributed to the foul taste of Lycid beetles, which predators most often avoid and, in the case of the ones that mimetize Hymenopterans (particularly in the suborder Symphyta), attributed to their potentially dangerous nature. Arctiine caterpillars generally feed on a wide variety of grasses, shrubs, herbs and plants in general, being polyphytophagous, but I'm unsure of the feeding habits of both the adult and the larvae of Dycladia. Species of the genera Correbia and Correbidia also mimetize Lycid beetles, particularly Colobothea. There is not much information on them available in the Internet, if you know more please tell me. At first I thought this was Dycladia lucetius but I changed my mind.
