Approx 6cm long. This individual was found on Manuel, but previously seen on the ground as a minority among much smaller ants.

Habitat:

Barra del Colorado Wildlife Refuge, open area near lowland wet forest

Right Tom, and polymorphism doesn´t help much on species ID

Juan, these ants are easy to get to genus, being really distinctive. Too bad there are so many different species that look so much alike.
