You do not need to make ID suggestions on your own spottings. Simply click on the "Edit this spotting" tab found above your name on the right side of the screen and once on the edit page, enter the common and scientific names in the appropriate fields. You should adjust the date "spotted" (when it was seen) while in edit mode, as well.
