Trichoglossus haematodus moluccanus
The Rainbow Lorikeet is unmistakable with its bright red beak and colourful plumage. They have a blue (mauve) head and belly, green wings, tail and back, and an orange/yellow breast. (Birdlife Australia: http://www.birdlife.org.au/bird-profile/... )
Hanging about in the park in Nanango.
It is always a pleasure to see these birds. They were seen in the vicinity of or in the company of plenty of other birds including Scaly-breasted Lorikeets (Trichoglossus chlorolepidotus), and Blue-faced Honeyeaters (Entomyzon cyanotis).
