Agaricus sp.
Agaricus is a genus of mushrooms containing both edible and poisonous species, with possibly over 300 members worldwide. The genus includes the common ("button") mushroom (Agaricus bisporus) and the field mushroom (Agaricus campestris), the dominant cultivated mushrooms of the West.
Photo 4 is a picture of the forest it was found growing in.
thanks suzmonk for the encouragement. Wish now that I had photographed the trees closer up so I knew what kind of forest it was they were growing in.
Hi Pamsai. I really like that your last photo is sometimes a shot of the larger environment where a plant or fungus is growing ... gives me a much better feel for the organism. Thanks!
