Jumping Spider

Salticidae

Description:

In the family Salticidae, the Jumping Spiders, of the class Arachnida and the order Araneae (Spiders). Easily recognisiable by their large front eyes and unique manner in which they move around, by jumping. Legs are short and sturdy.

Habitat:

Indoors, dry areas.

Notes:

This specimen was out in the open, perched on some jewelry in a shop.
