Moth

Description:

Small moth. Dull silvery grey in colour. Towards the edges of the hind wings there are streaks of antique gold. A touch of ruby red on the back of the head.

Habitat:

Village Kolakham; a remote, forested area at an altitude of 1868m in the Kalimpong Hills of Darjeeling District, on the fringes of Neora Valley National Park. There were many similar looking moths and plenty of different one; all united by their love of light...in this case our porch light.

Notes:

As usual, baffled by the Kolakham moths. Have found an album of Indian moths on Flickr...am scouring that...and will update as soon as I find a match. Meanwhile...if anyone can help...I'd be so grateful.
