Thanks Maria dB, medusasnakes123, and all who favorited. Jeff, interesting info; thanks for sharing. I've never seen one of these before. I think it's fascinating that they only eat woodlice.
This spider is widely distributed. I encountered many in central California annual grasslands when conducting pitfall trapping surveys for amphibians. I would open traps in late afternoon, and return the next morning to find these spiders in many of the traps.
