Great Blue Heron

Ardea herodias

Description:

Large wading bird in the heron family, common near the shores of open water and in wetlands over most of North America and Central America as well as the Caribbean and the Galápagos Islands. Please let me know if this is a different type of Heron. I see there are a number of herons that are very similar. I've always thought these were the Great Blue Herons.

Notes:

I did not stage this. I just took advantage of someone else staging it. OK, it was a close family member that had a couple of bait fish left over. I wasn't in on it though. We'll I'm just getting myself in deeper and deeper. Better cut this short.
