Arcyria ferruginea
Red striking little balls, grouped in clusters. We can see all the stages in the series.Sporocarps at first spherical, ovate, short-cylindrical or pyriform, 1-2 mm tall, 0.5-1.0 mm diam(pic#1,2 and 3),with time they brownish to orange, terracotta, ochraceous, olive or olive-brown(pic#4).
Found in a cuted log of a pine tree,in a mix forest near my house,pics#5 and 6 show the log and the habitat better than my words
It's second time that i found this slime mold, allways in the same place, allways in cuted or grabbed up pine trees logs. https://www.naturespot.org.uk/species/ar...

Your spotting has been nominated for the Spotting of the Week. The winner will be chosen by the Project Noah Rangers based on a combination of factors including: uniqueness of the shot, status of the organism (for example, rare or endangered), quality of the information provided in the habitat and description sections. There is a subjective element, of course; the spotting with the highest number of Ranger votes is chosen. Congratulations on being nominated!
