The red bug was spotted in my house. It had a different pattern on its exoskeleton unlike the other red bugs that I have observed.

Dinidoridae, Coridius janus, formerly called Aspongopus janus. Common name would be Red Pumpkin Bug or Cucurbit Stink Bug.
