beetles are larvae or adults. I've never seen a juvenile beetle.

This is a 'case bearing' beetle (Cryptocephalinae) They are identifiable by the clothes that don't fit properly - short wing covers. Not young... fully formed adult.

Yes I'm sure it was a juvenile Tiz, and it was able to fly.
