Description:

Formerly "Bufo punctatus" the Red-spotted Toad has been revalidated as 'Anaxyrus punctatus'. This pair was in amplexus in which fertilization of eggs can be observed.

Habitat:

This pair was found in a semi-permanent desert spring in the Trans-Pecos desert.
