Spring is finally here, at the mountains close to Madrid. Wild roses are starting to produce green a red sprouts. Notice the sharp thorns. It is said that the name comes from the shape of the thorns, that recall a dog fangs

Spotted at an open oak (Quercus pyrenaica) forest. Reserva de la Biosfera del Real Sitio de San Ildefonso-El Espinar.
