Description:

The Russet-tipped Clubtail (Stylurus plagiatus) occurs across much of the eastern and southern United States. The eastern form usually shows green eyes, while the western form often shows blue eyes like this one. Pic3 shows a crop of the tail.

Habitat:

Spotted next to Lake Sunset in Benton. Arkansas. They are usually found near streams, rivers, lakes, usually with bottoms of silty sand.
