Description:

They have red combs/wattles and black feathers with a green sheen. They are hardy yet docile, and make great egg-laying and meat birds.

Habitat:

This is a domestic chicken, it is commonly found in back yard gardens of those whom wish for fresh eggs.

Notes:

The Australorp (a hen pictured) is an Australian developed chicken, plus a chicken in this breed holds the world record for laying the largest number of eggs in one year (364) impressive!
