Glassy Tiger Butterfly

Parantica aglea

Description:

Medium sized butterfly with black marks.

Habitat:

On a tree lining the road leading from Bon Farmhouse to the marketplace of Village Kewzing. Remote hilly area. This butterfly was soaring high into the canopy of the trees rooted in the valley/hillside and then dancing in the roadside vegetation; never still for a minute. Finally it went and settled on a branch directly above me. I got a crick in the neck from looking up and finally, in impatience I stretched out my arms and clicked. On screen I see that it may have got entangled in a spider web.
