A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Phytolacca americana
All parts of the plant are toxic and pose risks to human and mammalian health.
That sounds about right for pokeweed, as it isn't native to your area. I am not positive, but if you get the chance to photograph the berries once they are mature that would help determine ID for sure.
It grows on various habitats in this area (mixed beech and conifers forest). It acts like weed, because it's not native to this part of the world. Not sure if it was planted on purpose or spread by accident.
Thank on your help. Greetings.
Could you please describe the habitat you found it in? That is the most important thing to include with any spotting. It would help for this spotting in particular to know if it looks like it was planted or in a natural area.
