Golden Orb Spider

Nephila pilipes

Description:

There are two spiders in this...the orangey one is the one that I wanted to catch.Unfortunately my movements shook the leaves and the spider was alerted. The male is the orange one.

Habitat:

Suntaley Khola is a remote hilly and forested area by the River Murty in the Dooars region of West Bengal, India. This species was seen in the garden of the resort.

Notes:

I got just one shot and that too, not very clear. But can someone help me with the ID. An orange spider I am so intrigued.
