Fulgorid Planthopper

Copidocephala guttata

Description:

Found this at the construction site of my home in Costa Rica, bright beautiful colors, 2 inches, red eyes, legs and antennas. Could it be a cicada?

Thank you bayucca, you are the best.

Thank you JeffCrocombe, some Fulgorid Planthoppers seems to have the coloring, but can not find one like mine, I will keep searching.

Not a cicada. I'd suggest it is a Fulgorid Treehopper & seems similar to some of the species in genus Scaralis.

Alajuela, Costa Rica
