Vanessa virginiensis
One of three "Lady" species, American Painted Lady can be found throughout the United States, southern Canada, and south to Venezula and Columbia. Also called Dama Dos Ojos, "lady two eyes," for the large eyespots on the ventral side of the hind wings.
