Ground Pine

Lycopodium spp.

Description:

A low-growing species in a wooded area. The 'leaves' of the body were hard and segmented, like Juniper. These strange yellow shoots standing several inches above the center of the plant wee what caught my eye. I had been through there before and never noticed these. It had just rained.
