unidentified blowfly/bottle fly
Spotted on orchid (Arachnis sp.) in a large semi-urban yard & garden next to a disturbed patch of remnant forest.
ok ..i visit this site and also i know that all flies have hairs on body but the length and density may differ but if u visit Calliphoridae on wikipedia you will see all features of this fly similar to Chrysoyma megacephala .Anyways can I know the image on the site suggests by you is taken by an entomologist or not.
Take a look at this one: http://www.flickr.com/photos/j-lake-digi... the hairs become visible when you use a good macro camera. All flies have hairs all over their bodies.
