Description:

Small rosette plant. Leaves pinnate, seed heads in narrow semi-upright spikes.

Habitat:

Gravelly/muddy soil on roadside at low elevation.

Notes:

Harvested for cooking (boiling to be eaten with oil and vinegar). Understood to be good for the kidneys.
