Description:

Crustaceous lichen with dark grey to pale gray thallus, rimose to rimose-areolate, thin, ±continuous, even absent. The apothecia are common, black, lecideine; 0.3-0.4 mm in diam., with thin margin, rarely persistent, soon excluded. The disc is black, epruinose, plane, soon becoming convex.

Habitat:

Spotted on granite and quartz rocks forming part of the wall of an old stone house.
