Found in a fresh water pond. We were not sure what this little guy is. He was found just at the shore line and was digging into the wet sand. Any thought would be appreciated.

Am I alone in thinking this looks kinda like a chestburster?
I would think it's a very young crayfish (though it's difficult to be certain from this photo).
