Galanthus sp.

Description:

Each inner petal is punctuated by a green, heart-shaped spot. This delicate plant flowers in N. America from January through May. Snowdrops are a sign of spring.

Habitat:

Spotted growing in the grass on the roadside. Galanthus was introduced from Europe.

Notes:

This might be G. nivalis, but I would like someone to please confirm!
