Golden Rat Tail

Cleistocactus Winteri

Description:

Columnar cactus forming masses of columns, up to 3 feet tall, this one about 12". Stems about 1.25 inches in diameter, 16 to 17 ribs; spines up to 0.4 inch long. The Cleistocactus winteri has salmon-pink flowers in spring and summer, 1.6 to 2.4 inches in length, 2 inches in diameter. Mature plants bloom repetitively.

Habitat:

Central California Urban backyard pots.... These will be all that grows here if we don't get some rain relief soon

Notes:

My best guess is Golden Rat Tail or Cleistocactus Winteri... well it has been up here for 5 months with no ID help ... so golden rat tail it is
