Eastern Garter Snake

Thamnophis sirtalis sirtalis

Description:

the first garter snake of the season,

Habitat:

Carolinian forest

Notes:

I went out spotting at Marcy's woods back in May. It's a small chunk of privately owned Carolinian forest with many unique and endemic species. This is just one of a few spottings from there.
