Spotting

Description:

Small shrub approx 30cm across, with yellow composite flowers with no ray florets, leaves a bit like Rosemary.

Habitat:

Limestone mountainside at approx 300m elevation, amongst low shrubs.

Notes:

I guess this is family Asteraceae.

I hope you find out what it is Tony. The narrow grey stems reminded me of some of the everlasting flowers. Would be interesting to see what grows on limestone. Thanks for the information.

Thanks Leuba for your suggestion. I looked at Helichrysums on greekflora.gr, and none of the species listed there is like this species. I am familiar with Helichrysums in Australia, but also know that the genus has been recently extensively revised, and many species that I knew as Helichrysum have been put some other genus.

I am just not familiar enough with Asteraceae in Greece.
