Eastern gray squirrel

Sciurus carolinensis

Description:

This is an image of a black squirrel perched outside of a dorm. It is the same color as the ledge it is sitting on.

Habitat:

This squirrel lives in Easton, Pennsylvania, on Lafayette College's campus. It is really cold up there in October.

Notes:

This squirrel was on high alert as children were walking past it. The squirrel seemed extremely on edge and nervous and didn't move from that position until everyone was gone.
