Description:

This Mushroom has a conical, velvety brown-black cap with a honey-comb structure of fertile grooves and sterile ridges. There are no visible gills and stem is fleshy and cream coloured.

Habitat:

Bark/ Mulch

Notes:

This fungus is edible. The fungus in the last picture is a much lighter colour but appears to be just about fully grown, could this particular one be Morchella esculenta?
